Job Title:  Exhibition Manager

Department: Exhibitions (based in Riyadh- KSA)

Reports to:  Events Director

Company Description:

The company is a leading exhibition organizing company in Saudi Arabia, with 5 different divisions. The company was established in 2009 in Riyadh KSA, and in a short period of time managed to organize some of the best exhibitions in Riyadh, and Jeddah winning best organizer award for 3 years in a raw (2011-2012-2013), in addition to many events for the governmental sector, largest companies and top universities and brands in KSA.

Job Purpose:

  • To lead, manage and drive through the successful planning and execution of the entire lifecycle of each event assigned to the role holder
  • To achieve revenue and profit targets
  • To handle the creative aspect of the exhibition by creating attractive and memorable events and experiences
  • To ensure and monitor the execution of an effective marketing campaign through all the proper channels making sure to reach all the target audience.
  • To maintain existing and develop new customer relationships

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Prepare events proposals
  • Prepare events plans and budgets
  • Create the events that will take place in the exhibition
  • Achievement of sales revenue/profit targets
  • Successful event management
  • Achievement of % customer segment targets per event
  • Management of event budget
  • Increase of space and participants per event
  • Increase of visitors per event
  • Execution and success of the marketing campaign.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

Sales:

  • Drive through the achievement of sales revenue/profit targets
  • Continue to build strong relationships with current and potential clients both pre and post event
  • Manage and maintain existing policies and procedures for the unit

Event Management:

  • Set up a sound and workable project plan for each event with clearly defined timelines
  • Plan, prepare and monitor annual budgets for the event with strict adherence to revenue and cost ensuring achievement of profit
  • Create attractive events to attract target visitors.
  • Oversee the development of the events
  • Liaise with the operations department to coordinate event logistics effectively
  • Ensure collection of payments by regular communication and coordination with the accounts department

General:

  • Continually monitor and research the market
  • Identify and attend competitive events where appropriate
  • Database clean and build
  • Perform any other duties commensurate with the grade and level of responsibility
  • Strategic Planning: Develop project strategies aligned with company objectives
  • Management: Manage full project calendar and team deliverables
  • Strong relation with vendors
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to ensure the seamless execution of project.
  • Post-Project Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive post-event evaluations, analysing feedback and data to measure event success and identify areas for improvement

Background Knowledge and Experience

Essential:

  • Previous Events, exhibition, conference and/or media industry experience
  • Proven track record of sales experience with a demonstrated successful sales record of high value sales activity in a B2B and B2C environment
  • Full understanding of event sales cycles
  • Computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel and PowerPoint
  • Commercial awareness
  • Attention to detail
  • Spoken and written Arabic and English (and French is a plus)
  • Numerate
  • Minimum Education Level Required: BA or BS or equivalent.

Desirable:

  • Related industry knowledge (Chocolate in this case)
